3 vehicle accident sends at least one to hospital

At least one person has been transported to the hospital following a three car accident in front of the Scottsbluff Target on Highway 26.

The accident was reported at 1:20 p.m., and involved drivers 42-year-old Alberto Machado, 66-year-old Linda Shutts, and 41-year-old Sara Harris .

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and will have more information later on this afternoon.

 

Three injured in 2-car crash near Niles

NILES, MI — Three people suffered injuries after a crash in Cass County Sunday.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Thompson Road and White Street in Howard Township, near Niles, at about 6:40 p.m., according to a news release.

Taylor McCain, 20, of Niles, was westbound in his vehicle on White Street when a southbound vehicle, driven by 16-year-old Brandon Black, pulled out in front of him. Both drivers were treated and released at the scene, but Black’s passenger, River Britton, was taken to the hospital.

Safety belts were used, and alcohol was not a factor, deputies say.

MANCHAC (WGNO) - Louisiana State Police are investigating an accident on Interstate 55 that killed two and injured three others.

Officers say 32-year-old Brandon Craig was driving the wrong way on the southbound lanes of the interstate near Manchac when he collided with another car around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Craig was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 31-year-old driver in the other car, Conrad Herbert, was transported to a local hospital but later died.

Two passengers in Craig’s car ages 22 and 29 were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.  Authorities say they were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Another driver seeing the crash attempted to stop but hit a guardrail.  He sustained minor injuries.

State police reopened I-55 just before 9:30 a.m.

Fatal Car Accident in Chenango County; Driver Believed Intoxicated

The Chenango Sheriff’s Office were called to a fatal car crash that occurred today in the Town of Greene.

At approximately 2:00 am on the 7th of March, a report was received stating that a car had struck a utility pole. The driver, Bradley Goodrich, 22, of Greene, the driver of a 2000 Chevy Cavalier, was airlifted to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City for treatment of internal injuries. The passenger, Brandon Archer, 23, also of Greene, was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive internal injuries.

Officials state that the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. An arrest warrant has been issued for Goodrich charging him with vehicular manslaughter second degree, a class D felony, and manslaughter second degree, a class C felony.

Goodrich will be arraigned upon his release from the hospital. Further charges may be pending.
